Concord pays tribute to clear-sighted visionaries with the launch of its distinctive new Impresario for men and women in gleaming 18 ct rose gold and stainless steel. In proud keeping with its name – drawn from the Italian word “impresa” meaning “an enterprise or undertaking” – the Impresario pays tribute to the those men and women around the globe who are an inspiration to others: leaders, visionaries and entrepreneurs.

In early Egyptian civilisation, the falcon represented the word for “guide”, while in the sport of hunting with falcons – closely associated with nobility – this imposing bird embodies keen vision, boldness and speed. Such powerful symbolism was a natural choice to illustrate the unique nature of the Impresario. Epitomizing liberty, freedom and victory, this noble bird depicts the visionary power and determination of those for whom this character-filled timepiece was designed.

First introduced in 1998, in 2016, the Impresario makes a proud comeback as this season’s key innovation for the brand. Perpetuating Concord’s rich heritage of watchmaking tradition, the relaunch of the Impresario marks the third pillar to be released as part of the brand’s strong “heritage” product strategy, ingeniously bringing this formerly great collection once again into the spotlight of contemporary watchmaking with a harmonious new blend of tradition and modernity.

Offered in a 41 mm dial for men and a dainty 32 mm counterpart for ladies, and distinguished by its easily distinguishable coin-edged finish, the Impresario boasts the only round case in the Concord collections. Cases on both these spectacular pieces come in 18 ct rose gold and stainless steel, their roundness pleasingly offset by gently undulating stainless steel bracelets with rose gold-plated links. A gleaming silver-toned dial with date window at 3 o’clock on the men’s Impresario is perfectly matched by a corresponding white mother-of-pearl option on the ladies’ version. On the latter, trademark Concord elegance strikes again with the addition of 48 perfect diamonds on the dial and 96 on the bracelet. Both men and women will enjoy reading off time in step with the elegantly slim hands gliding over ultra-chic rose gold-plated Arabic numerals and indexes subtly reminiscent of a falcon’s beak…

The new Concord Impresario’s clean, contemporary good looks are complemented by stainless steel crowns. In harmony with Concord’s keen awareness of the needs of modern day leaders, driven by a concern to achieve and enable a sustainable work/life balance, the Impresario is water-resistant to 50 m and powered by an ultra-reliable Swiss quality quartz movement.
