MISHA NONOO x ALDO RISE SS16 COLLECTION LAUNCHES WORLDWIDE

Dubai, UAE, May 8, 2016:  ALDO RISE is an initiative by the brand to support, promote and celebrate daring talent in the fashion community. ALDO RISE ensures fashion designers have the ability to create and showcase the footwear and handbags they envision for their collections directly to the consumer through the Aldo doors. 

As great things always come in threes, ALDO is thrilled to announce the retail launch of the Spring/Summer 2016 MISHA NONOO x ALDO RISE collection of footwear and handbags, marking the third collaboration between the brands. The collection will be available at select ALDO stores worldwide like Aldo Dubai Mall, Aldo Mall of Emirates

In a refined palette of navy, chalk, poppy, denim, and black, the SS16 ALDO RISE collection features subtly sexy slip-on mules with contrast stitching, a leather ankle-strap stacked heel, feminine but tailored canvas flatforms, and a chicly succinct cross body bag in two color-ways. Designed with the intent to make life easier, seamlessly taking women from day to play, the collection also captures the 1960’s minimal art movement and the simultaneous spirited beginning of the women’s rights movement.

'The collection celebrates the beauty that is created when two opposing forces come together. We designed the flatforms with a subtle bow detail – a dedication to the strength of women and a new take on a menswear classic. For the mules, we added modern lines as a nod to the 1960’s minimalist art movement, which make these shoes bold yet playful.” Misha Nonoo, Founder and Creative Director for MISHA NONOO.

This SS16 collaboration made digital fashion history when the MISHA NONOO Insta-Show went live last September, taking place in lieu of the traditional runway show at New York Fashion Week. Always pushing boundaries, MISHA NONOO enlisted her taste-making friends to gram themselves in head to toe looks from the collection, resulting in social media shots from the likes of Lena Dunham, Olivia Palermo and Eva Chen.
