Dubai, UAE, May 17, 2016: For the first time in the region, TRESemmé Arabia is creating an exclusive headpiece in collaboration with award winning jewelry designer and gemologist Vinita Michael.
Vinita Michael has been designing jewelry for many years and specializes in both fine gold set with precious gems and sterling silver jewelry. Her pieces have been seen on many Bollywood celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez.
The Asian-inspired headpiece designed exclusively for TRESemmé is heavily influenced by Vinita’s own experience. “I was trained in Bharatnatyam and some of my most memorable moments as a dancer are of the stage performances where we would adorn the beautiful costumes and the exquisite temple jewelry,” she says. “The piece in particular is inspired by the three important hair jewels worn by a bharatnatyam dancer during her act: the moon (chandran), the sun (suryan) and the central hairpiece (netti chutti) which emphasizes the forehead and hair parting.”
