Spring & Summer 2013 Fashion is all about bright and bold colors! In the spirit of summer, wearing bold-colored clothing or accessories is so much fun. But the real question is: How do you wear the RIGHT makeup that will compliment your clothing without looking too overdone or washed out?
Trend #1: Emerald Green Emerald Green is a huge color trend this spring/summer! From emerald green purses, to emerald green tops and even emerald green jeans are all over! But how would you apply your makeup?
When wearing emerald green clothing or accessories, try to shy far away from matching eye shadow or nail polish. Choose colors that would complement the clothing and the warm weather instead of matching. With emerald green being quite a bold color try to keep your makeup simple. Choose neutrals like bronzes and beiges on the eyes with a nude or natural lip color. To play up the look, go for soft pink lips, which would complement the emerald green beautifully.
Trend #2: NeonThe neon color trend is back this year with a bang. Neon colors are bold, fun, and playful which will definitely get you noticed. Let the clothing be the focal point of your look by keeping your makeup colors minimal. This would be the perfect time to try nudes and natural colors for your makeup palette. Keep the skin looking fabulous by applying Pond's Gold Radiance Day Cream before you apply your foundation for a glowing complexion. If you want to play up your look, keep the eyes simple, skin glowing and choose a hot pink matte lipstick for the lips.
Trend #3: TangerineTangerine is one of the hottest color trends of the season. Tangerine compliments bronze skin beautifully so keep your makeup sun kissed by using a golden bronzing powder on the cheekbones and then dusting the rest around your face and neck. Depending on the outfit, either keep the makeup simple to allow your outfit to speak for itself or spice it up by using a matching lipstick. Orange, peach and tangerine lips are fun and flirty way to embrace summer 2013.
