Tantalising new fragrances, products for velvety-soft skin, dozens of dazzling new tones for nails and a series of sizzling shades for hair were high on trade buyers' lists as Beautyworld Middle East 2013 completed a second successful day yesterday.
Myriad product launches and a wide range of innovative beauty and wellbeing solutions competed for the attention of buyers who crowded the show floor of the largest ever Beautyworld Middle East which opened 32% larger than the previous year.
Also drawing the attention of the crowds were a host of special attractions, which this year includes the debut of the Elements premier brand showcase with a range of high-end fragrances from New York. The latest colour trends of the season from Pantone, was the cynosure of beauty professionals from around the region, while the Organic Masterclass provided vital insights on the natural and organic beauty business.
The Spa Management and Salon Management Summits got off to a well-attended start yesterday, with Dubai Municipality officials explaining the latest rules and regulations governing spas and salons in the emirate as well as underlining the importance of safety and health in the workplace.
“Keeping pace with the rapidly evolving beauty business is crucial for Beautyworld Middle East to retain its position as the industry's most influential international trade event that serves the wider Middle East,” said Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of organiser, Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “With a growing number of special features and industry-influencing seminars and workshops featuring alongside the main exhibition, Beautyworld Middle East has evolved into a mega event that powers the overall development of the industry,” he added.
Among the product launches creating a buzz on the show floor were an array of innovations aimed at the flourishing spa industry, including the SpaBike from Spabulous Solutions, which introduces private aqua biking to the GCC for the first time.
Nathalie Abi Khalil from Spabulous Solutions said: “We are extremely pleased with the response to the SpaBike here. The product has done very well in Europe and we are looking at similar success in the GCC. The quality of trade visitors to our stand has been great”
Machinery, Packing and Raw Material as a product group is being seen as a key emphasis area by organisers, given the growing interest being expressed from international players.
First-time exhibitor Swastik Technopack Pvt. Ltd is showcasing its range of brand new automation systems for packaging perfumes, lotions, creams and other beauty products. They also had a preview of some of their upcoming machinery at the show.
