I made this creation using all the materials I love the most. Having been asked constantly, “what do you wear?”, usually followed by, “can I buy it?”, I decided to make a small quantity available each year”. Roja Dove

Those who are fascinated by fine perfumes know that British Master Perfumer Roja Dove creates fragrances that his own heart desires. This is the starting point for every scent he has ever made.

ROJA Haute Luxe, his latest perfume, was originally created ten years ago in re-sponse to his heart's desire for a ‘smell for himself'. When the fragrance he had worn for almost thirty years was reformulated, he stopped wearing it. And so began work on ROJA Haute Luxe. It took nine months to create this luxurious amber-tinted, gold-leaf flecked perfume; Roja's very own secret shimmering bespoke.

Formulated without reference to cost, ROJA Haute Luxe is a perfume created using each of the ingredients Roja loves most to build a deep, rich, resinous chypré that is quite simply the world's most exquisite Haute Luxe parfum; a fragrance of rarity, refined perfection and unrivalled beauty.

Each fragrance within the ROJA PARFUMS ‘Olfactory Palette' has something that some consider infinitely more precious than the rare ingredients used to make them – a status, an allure that makes each a pearl in the world of luxury goods. Roja's refusal to deviate from his high standards for greater commercial gain has meant that his brand retains an image of integrity. It is why his fragrances are strictly limited in both production and availability.

ROJA Haute Luxe is a very rare pearl indeed. Perhaps the single most exclusive fra-grance in the world; each year it will be produced in limited quantity, and once sold, will only be reissued the following year.

ROJA Haute Luxe is presented in a silk crêpe de chine lined white ‘jewel-box' cre-ated and lacquered by Carrs of Sheffield. The gold-plated closure on the front per-fectly mirrors the gold-plated and violet enamelled plaque that decorates the per-fume flacon. The flacon stopper, the leitmotif of the ROJA PARFUMS brand, is hand set with fourteen Swarovski crystals specially produced in Roja's favourite colour -- violet.

“Everything about this fragrance is very personal including its presentation. For the case, I could think of no colour more luxurious than white as it is the most fragile of colours. The gold leaf within the fragrance alludes to my love of gold but also serves as a reminder that the amber liquid - the ‘juice' - is in fact rarer, more precious, more expensive than gold will ever be.

“The amber colour of the fragrance is a result of the finest quality natural ingredients; it makes me think of rare coloured diamonds. I like to think of ROJA Haute Luxe as a liquid jewel.

“I was recently asked why I have waited ten years to share it.  Of course, it was never created to be shared at all. I have never given - not even a sample of it - to even my closest of friends. Somehow, the time seemed right to share the fragrance that sits on my skin and possibly runs through my veins. I have no reason as to why now. It just felt right to let just a little of it go off into the world.”
