[Dubai, July 2014] Paris Gallery, the leading luxury retailer in the region, launched a new line of niche oriental perfumes concocted by French perfumers. AHJAAR is a ‘precious’ line of eight perfumes – precious on account of its exclusivity, the rare ingredients used in its creation, and what they represent. These are scents that reflect the culture and allure of the East, each symbolizing a Middle Eastern precious stone. They take names such as FAIROUZ, KAHRAMAN, and ROYAL SAPPHIRE. This collection is available exclusively at Paris Gallery in the UAE. 

In times past, precious stones played a big role in defining cultures in the Middle East, South Asia and Far East. They are believed to possess magical powers. They symbolized wealth and prosperity, and were also used as gifts that celebrated sensuality and love. Similarly, luxurious perfumes also deeply connected with the mentality and behavior of Middle Eastern people. Both precious stones and scents were used to express the sophistication, royalty and wealth that were associated with maharajas and sultans. 

AHJAAR is a collection of royal oriental aromas from a prestigious French perfumery and are created using the most desirable ingredients of the East such as Oud, Musk, Osmanthus, Saffron and others. This new line of perfumes reflect the philosophy and essence of the Middle Eastern people.

FAIROUZ, Turquoise in English, is a precious stone that has a great value among other precious jewels on account of the way it forms. This perfume, which is named after it, had been prepared with the same amount care and sophistication. The top notes of Fairouz are made out of violet and musk which settles on a rich heart note comprising of some of the most famous aromatic ingredients such as patchouli and vetiver that rests on base notes of Whitewoods and Oud

IVORY PEARL is a unique and highly sophisticated scent. It represents two of the most rare and expensive materials in the world today: Ivory and Pearl. Kahraman or ‘Amber’ doesn’t exist in Arab world or Middle East, however it’s very famous among people who live in these regions and strongly attached to their culture. This perfume is a reflection of this culture. The ingredients are a perfect combination of Pomegranate, Sandalwood and Oud.

Nassak is a big diamond, discovered in India during the 15th century. Obviously, this perfume which represents this precious stone has rich ingredients creatively blended to give birth to a scent worthy of its name. Eastern and Asian ingredients gives this perfume an impression of richness, elegant and sweetness.

A tender and strong perfume at the same time, its formula is very simple. The first blast is a bouquet of flowers that later fades into Patchouli, then settles on strong a strong base of Oud. This perfume represents the Nepal gem, which is known for its tender colors and strong presence.

A spicy and strong scent eased down by lemon notes and rose. Vintage Rose is a strong fragrance with classical scent that embrace the skin with sophistication and gentleness but with a long-lasting effect. It opens with Cardamom, Lemon and Cinnamon to give it a spicy and strong opening. Myrrh, Saffron, and Rose then blends to take you to another realm. The base then comes alive with musk, patchouli and  agarwood to add a calm and classical eastern effect.
