ENGIE, through its subsidiary International Power SA, has been qualified in the first round of the tendering process for two renewable energy projects in Saudi Arabia. ENGIE is among the 27 companies selected for a 300 MW solar photovoltaic project, and among the 24 companies selected for a 400 MW wind farm. The 300 MW solar photovoltaic project will be developed in the Sakaka area in the northern Al Jouf Province. Region outgrows global average of 2.2%
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 21, 2017: The petrochemical industry in the Arabian Gulf region grew at 3.7%in 2016 reaching 150 million tons of capacity, according to an annual study by the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), outpacing the global average growth of 2.2%. The figures emerged from ‘Arabian Gulf Industry Year in Review’ part of GPCA’s recently released Annual Report.
