Following the success of the UAE Team Emirates Youth Academy launched last year, UAE Team Emirates have announced their partnership with Abu Dhabi Cycling Club to establish a clear development pathway for children interested in cycling in the UAE.
The Academy was created with the aim of introducing young people to the sport of cycling. The academy provides children from the age of 8 – 11 with cycling coaching, designed to build confidence and fitness as well as improve bike handling skills. Launched exclusively for school children living in the UAE last year, over 1,000 children have already taken part in over 80 hours of cycling.

Dubai, 21 January 2020: The future of Emirati heritage sport is bright as falconers, as young as five years old, proved their mettle at the Fazza Championship for Falconry – Juniors Category, organised by Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) over the weekend at Al Ruwayyah desert area.
Eight races were held and at least 220 birds saw action as the youngsters proudly carried the falcons on their arms before releasing them for the competition. The annual competition for junior falconers also capped off the Fazza Championship for Falconry-Telwah, which registered a record participation of over 3,500 birds during its three-week run.

Dubai, 19 January 2020: Emirati camel rider Yahya Al Malai Al-Ketbi duplicated the achievement of his brother, Khamis Ali Saeed Al Malai Al Ketbi, by dominating the second preliminary race of the 5th National Day Camel Marathon held at Al Marmoom Camel Race Track on Friday.
Organized by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) in cooperation with the Dubai Camel Racing Club, the National Day Camel Marathon is held annually in conjunction with the Arabian Camel Festival under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

Dubai, 16 January 2020: Ten teams from across the Emirates participated in the inaugural UAE Falconers League competitions, which kicked off on Wednesday at Dubai’s Al Ruwayyah desert area.
Organised jointly by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) and Abu Dhabi Falconers Club, the UAE Falconers League will have a total of nine rounds that will run until February 19 between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Rounds 2, 3 and 4 will be held on January 28, 29 and 30 in Abu Dhabi before the falconry championship returns to Al Ruwayyah in Dubai for Rounds 5, 6 and 7 on February 10, 13 and 16. The penultimate (Round 8) and final round (Round 9) will be held on February 17 and 19 respectively in the Capital Abu Dhabi.

The 2020 UCI WorldTour gets underway with the Tour Down Under in less than a week’s time. The UAE Team Emirates riders will face just over 900km of racing and more than 12,000km of climbing. Key general classification stages include stage 2 to Stirling, with its uphill finish, an even stiffer uphill finish in Paracombe on stage 3, and then the final finish atop Willunga Hill. Eissa Al Ahbabi and Obaid Salem Al Nuaimi were the last two qualifiers who were announced during the fifth episode of the championship held at Global Village’s Meydan Fort over the weekend.
The two will join early qualifiers, Emirati Yuweels (Youlah performers) Abdullah Ali Al-Ketbi and Sultan Al Ketbi, who dominated the first qualifying round.
