Dubai, UAE; March 11, 2019: The UAE’s highest Court, the Court of Cassation, has rejected the appeal by an illegal DishTV India dealer and sentenced him to three-months imprisonment and a fine of AED 50,000 for infringing the copyrights and related intellectual property of OSN.
The dealer was caught by the authorities during a raid and over 2,000 illegal set top boxes, smart cards and a substantial amount of cash was seized.

Dubai, UAE, 11 March, 2019: New regulations permitting the sale of electronic smoking devices in the UAE can have more positive effects than the 100% tax hike implemented on cigarettes in 2017, legal experts believe.
STA Law Firm says the growing popularity of e-cigarettes, which are expected to be available in UAE stores from mid-April, could see more people, particularly young smokers, switching from tobacco.
