Designer Angel Schlesser’s passion for Oriental culture began while on holiday. Moved by the beauty of the landscape and the magic of the culture he experienced on a remote island in eastern Asia, Schlesser felt the need to explore the depths of that thousand year old culture. From that moment, he became a regular traveler to the most exotic locations in the Orient, in search of a type of beauty that truly captivated him.

The colourful dresses, the mysterious traditions, the exotic markets, the purity of the customs, the aromas... all awoke so many emotions in the designer that it was impossible for his work not to be influenced by his discovery of the Orient. 

Angel Schlesser is an essential creator, with a recognizable touch of European charm and a unique eye for all things exquisite. The bottle

The aesthetics of the design and the purity of the lines reveal the Ángel Schlesser brand, the strength of his style and the refined geometry that characterizes his fashion.

A rectangular bottle with an important and solid presence, made in slightly translucent black glass with a soft, satin surface that reveals its contents and glows like a precious jewel, thanks to the golden details. On the lower part on the front is a golden metallic badge, engraved in gold embossing, containing the name of the designer and the fragrance. At the top, the cap is designed in two strips. The lower half in golden metal; the upper half in shiny black.

The box

Packaging that has been specially designed to enhance the bottle, which invokes the luxury and exclusive elegance of this new fragrance. It is an oblong, designed like a treasure chest, which opens like a jewelry box. The fragrance fits perfectly inside on a base of soft gold. On the outside, the surface has a delicate texture with a shiny and matte finish and tiny squares that play with the light and give the packaging a unique personality. 

In the centre, a smooth, intense black strip, edged in gold, elegantly encloses the designer’s logo and the name of the fragrance in gold embossing, which is repeated throughout the packaging and the back of the bottle.

OUD AND ORIENTAL FLOWERS

Angel Schlesser ABSOLUTE ORIENTAL is a unisex fragrance, based on the thousand year old Oriental tradition in which both men and women appreciate the perfume of flowers.

It belongs to the Oud Rose olfactive family and is a creation by French perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, at Firmenich.

Before detailing its composition, it should be noted that, aside from flowers, the fragrance contains oud, a precious and unique ingredient that is very difficult to find. Oud is the resin from the tropical Agar tree, originally native to the Indian region of Assam, but later found throughout the whole of Southeast Asia. When the wood of this tree becomes infected by bacteria known as phialophora, it reacts by creating a beautiful, dark and fragrant resin — precious oud — known also as the perfume of Arabia.

The fragrance

The fragrance’s top note welcomes us with the characteristic and citrus touch of Mediterranean bergamot. Next, fragrant freesia, together with the energetic and precious Osmanthus flower, the flower of sensuality, provides intensity, seduction and mystery.

The delicate fragrance of peony in the middle notes creates an intense floral combination with rose, the most exceptional flower, and an unexpected hint of saffron, which rounds off the fragrance with its surprising spicy intensity. 

The fragrance’s bottom note holds the purity of its Oriental style: the strong oud envelopes the warm vanilla and the exotic patchouli and embraces the sensual aroma of musk and Oriental hints of sandalwood, while the vetiver freshens the fragrance adding a light, green feel.
