Tory Burch celebrates its new boutique in Qatar
Dubai, UAE, January 6, 2016: Tory Burch LLC partnered with Anna Dello Russo, editor-at-large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan, to celebrate the new Tory Burch boutique at the Lagoona Mall in Qatar with a special event on December 9th followed by personal styling appointments the next day.
The celebration began with a cocktail party at the store on Wednesday evening. Dello Russo shared entertaining and styling tips with the guests, including style blogger Ascia, Tamara Al Gabbani, Desert Mannequin, and Noory as they took a tour of the new space, discovered the holiday collection and enjoyed music by DJ Tala Samman. A portion of the proceeds from the event benefited Education Above All, a global charity launched by Sheikha Mozah to support children’s education.
The following day, Dello Russo hosted private styling sessions with pieces from the Fall 2015 and Resort 2016 collections for a select group of Qatari women, including the Royal Family.
In keeping with the aesthetic of other Tory Burch stores, the Lagoona Mall boutique has a residential feel — oak and marble floors, raffia walls and gold leaf chandeliers offer a neutral backdrop for a sophisticated mix of furnishings, including seafoam silk drapes, teal velvet sofas and blue-and-white embroidered pillows.
A wide assortment of the Tory Burch collection is available at the store, including ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, watches, jewelry, eyewear and other accessories.
Tory Burch launched in 2004 with a small boutique in Manhattan’s Nolita neighborhood and the designer’s classic but bohemian aesthetic resonated with tastemakers from the very beginning. Over the past decade, the company has grown into a global brand with more than 160 boutiques around the world. Art, music, travel, interiors and the designer’s own stylish parents are inspirations for the collection.
