Dubai, UAE, January 30, 2016:  Celebrating Lacoste's history, The Spring / Summer 2016 Collection reignites the fundamental passion that inspired the iconic piqué polo shirt more than 80 years ago.
Taking a distinct direction from an esteemed heritage, Lacoste's latest collection reignites lifelong brand codes with a twist of modernity to showcase a true relevance and consistency.
Clean, simple sporting lines driven by a need to enhance performance and movement are at the heart of Lacoste designs, combined with an elegance and effortless style that René Lacoste was widely known for.
Determined, always fully prepared and with an eye for intricate detail, René Lacoste set the tone and established the values for what the brand is today.

CROSLEY & CROSLEY HI
premium piqué

Creating an alternative spin on sporting inspiration, LACOSTE moves effortlessly into the casual offering of the premium Piqué pack, capturing the very essence of the brand through the fabric that made the brand so famous.
Executed in premium Chantaco leather with detailing that references the LACOSTE piqué brand code, the styles celebrate clean, sporting lines with a sophisticated, elegance and style befitting the marque.
Capturing versatility that easily takes the chic look from the office to the bar with a contemporary aesthetic, the Crosley and Crosley Hi carry appeal with a timeless attraction.
Tonal branding at the heel creates a final touch of refined elegance, while the triangular pattern on the outsole, again referencing the piqué of the polo shirt, is a lasting reminder of sporting heritage.

Piqué:
innovation, performance, style; The very fabric designed by René Lacoste during the 1920s in the quest to find the perfect product fit for performance, movement and durability. The result: LACOSTE’s iconic L.12.12 piqué polo shirt is still relevant today.

INDIANA, TURBO, HALF COURT & DASH
heritage tricolour pack

Taking motivation from the iconic 1980s era, LACOSTE has breathed new life into the Heritage Tricolour pack using contemporary styling and premium materials for a truly inspirational fashion-focused offering.
Featuring five styles, the Indiana, Turbo, Half Court, LS.12 and Dash, all are aligned to LACOSTE’s iconic punch brand code inspired by the signature racket grip tape pioneered by René Lacoste.
Sporting the archetypal white, red and blue, this heritage range is built around the inherently stylish 80’s tennis silhouettes utilising soft premium leather for an understated, clean aesthetic.

Punch:
powerful, breathable, agile; It was René Lacoste who first used the punched tennis racket grip to enhance his sporting performance, which led to unrivalled success during the 1920s. The punch detailing remains a core identity today as a stylish tribute to the articulate preparation of René more than 80 years ago.

ENDLINER, STRIDEUR & TRAMLINE
contemporary net

With a subtle use of netting the Contemporary Net pack pays homage to the very courts that cultivated the brand through clean, distinct presentation and style.
A distinct retro sporting line and character features across all three styles as the tennis theme is playfully used to create a collection motivated by comfort, inspired by performance and durability without losing a true sense of style.
Stand out elements include the iconic white and green colour palette so synonymous with the brand as well as the retro features of the gum sole.
The Endliner features netting motif and subtle punching detail on the toe with a clean rubber outsole finishing.
Rooted in tennis heritage and with its twin-cup construction and striking green colour-stripe on the quarter, the Strideur is a confident choice for any LACOSTE wearer.
Finishing the pack is the Tramline, named for its court-inspired white markings and netting material and quarter panels. It also carries subtle perforations on the tongue, referencing LACOSTE’s punch brand code.

Net:
precision, strength, elegance; Leaning on LACOSTE’s sporting heritage and determination, the net sits as one of LACOSTE’s core codes. Defining prowess and artisanship, this iconic symbol of tennishighlights the technicalities of reaching innovative excellence, a true signature of an esteemed history encapsulating the brand’s winning culture and attention to finer detail.

JOGGEUR
monochrome redefined

Inspired by sporting prowess and performance that mirrors the world-beating achievements of René Lacoste more than 80 years ago, the exciting new Joggeur personifies style born from heritage and artisanship but for the modern consumer.
The Joggeur is a casual sneaker and available in four monochrome variations, with the application of Nappa leathers and soft suedes creating a tactile colour-blocked effect.
As a subtle reminder of a rich sporting past, embossed crocodile branding is featured on the heel while the luxuriously padded heel, sides and tongue offer superb comfort.
A moulded in-sock and a lightweight EVA midsole enhance the Joggeur’s ease-of-wear.

Monochrome:
clean, timeless, confident; Bold, statement style has been a vital ingredient for LACOSTE since its birth in 1933. A clean confidence motivated by shades of white worn by René Lacoste remains an important foundation for the brand today.

TURNIER & MOKARA
minimal court

A cool architectural aesthetic encompassing heritage with clear modern elements greets us with the Minimal Court pack.
Linking back to LACOSTE’s punch brand code, the pack consists of three pared-back silhouettes inspired by the innovative grip tape pioneered by René Lacoste during his championship years.
With a sporting twist, the iconic crocodile branding that typifies LACOSTE is presented throughout the pack in tonal white, while gum soles add a distinct nod to heritage tennis.
The Turnier is a new addition to LACOSTE’s minimal silhouette range, featuring the premium soft leather. The punched elements are prominent across the toe and on the quarter below the heel collar.
The Mokara is an update of a signature design, the monochrome colour execution is enhanced by a comfortable moulded in-sock and a gum rubber sole.

Punch:
powerful, breathable, agile; It was René Lacoste who first used the punched tennis racket grip to enhance his sporting performance, which led to unrivalled success during the 1920s. The punch detailing remains a core identity today as a stylish tribute to the articulate preparation of René more than 80 years ago.
