SUC 20-M Scholarship Bonanza for Local and International Students
United Arab Emirates is a country known for its humanitarian interventions both in the local and global scenario. This year, UAE President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has declared 2017 as the “Year of Giving.”
Upholding the theme of “Year of Giving,” Skyline University College has given a thrust to this humanitarian advocacy by increasing scholarship to AED 20M. In its endeavor to provide quality education to more than 60 nationalities, SUC grants scholarship funds and training to various government and private sectors. It also organizes career development workshops to high school teachers and students across the region to promote quality in education.
Over the last 5 years, SUC has awarded more than 50 million dirhams of scholarship fund to thousands of Arabs and expatriates students not only from UAE but also to students from Pakistan, Morocco, Nigeria, GCC and CIS countries. This year, SUC has doubled its scholarship fund to 20 million dirhams as compared to the previous years. Scholarships are awarded under the criteria of Merit-Base, Need-Base, Academic Excellence, and Achievements in Extra Curricular Activities.
Scholarships are also granted to different government and private sectors such as consulates, embassies, corporations, schools, sports associations, and alumni to further their professional education and improve their knowledge on Business Administration in E-Governance, Human Resources Management, Marketing, Strategic Management and Leadership, and Finance. SUC Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Council, Mr. Nitin Anand stated, “Skyline’s scholarship fund this year is envisioned to cater to all the people in need of financial assistance in order to pursue their higher education. Skyline’s various initiatives are aimed at providing quality education at an affordable cost for everyone regardless of social background, nationality, and gender.”
SUC scholarship facilitates the needy students to achieve their academic and career aspirations. “We at Skyline are committed to contribute to the betterment of the society and community and it has been our endeavor to impact the society positively. It is our humble contribution to the great initiative this nation upholds,” shared SUC Dean, Dr. Amitabh Upadhya.
