March 18, 2019; Dubai, United Arab Emirates:  TNA – a leading global supplier of integrated food processing and packaging solutions – successfully held the opening ceremony for its Middle East operations at DAFZA Industrial Park.

The official opening ceremony was held at the new headquarters, in the presence of Nasser Al Madani Assistant Director General, Dubai Airport Freezone Authority, Mukul Shukla General Manager MENA & India, TNA and Nadia Taylor, director and co-founder, TNA, along with DAFZA and TNA senior executives and senior dignitaries. The new facility will allow TNA MENA to offer a range of after-market services to customers in the region, including enhanced technical support, a new training and demo centre, and easier access to spare parts.

Nasser Al Madani Assistant Director General, Dubai Airport Freezone Authority said: “We are keen to provide continuous support at all levels to foreign companies that are planning to operate within the free zone. DAFZA offers a wide range of services, facilities and unique management practices that enable companies to take advantage of its strategic location and tax exemptions, as well as the advanced infrastructure, logistics services, and the flexible business environment it offers.”

Commenting on the move, Mukul Shukla – General Manager MENA & India, said: “We are very proud to call DAFZA our new home and we at TNA MENA are confident of improving our logistics operations, making it even easier to supply our customers with the services and spare parts they need to keep their production lines running. As a global supplier with a strong local footprint, we’re well placed to cater to the different requirements of this dynamic industry, and this move will successfully enable us to do so.”

With 30 offices and manufacturing sites around the world, TNA is headquartered in Sydney, Australia and has been operating in the Middle East since 2006, having opened its first office in Dubai in 2007.

Launched in 2017, DAFZA Industrial Park is the first expansion project outside DAFZA’s boundaries and is located in Al Qusais Industrial Area, featuring modern industrial units supported by unique customs experience. It witnessed an occupancy rate of 82% during the first half of 2018 alone. The collaboration between DAFZA and Dubai customs positioned it as the first smart free zone in security and customs services, providing innovative and integrated services through the 24/7 automated smart centre, without the need of human interaction.

DAFZA Industrial Park is among the 20 freezones selected by the Cabinet Decision No. (59) of 2017, to be considered as a designated zone. Now, goods may be transferred among these areas tax-free, increasing its attractiveness to new companies and foreign investors.
