Dubai, February 23rd, 2023:  The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has called on the public to utilize its digital platforms to access key services, including obtaining birth and death certificates and true copies of both. This move is part of MoHAP's initiative to streamline customer procedures, provide efficient services, and maintain accurate records of births and deaths across the nation.

The Ministry also offers the 'Mabrouk Ma Yak' bundle exclusively to newborn Emiratis, which involves acquiring a birth certificate and forwarding it to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security to obtain an ID card and passport for infants, as well as adding them to the family book and population registry, all through a single electronic application. This all-in-one service reduces the need for customers to make multiple visits to customer service centers to complete paperwork.

Promoting awareness of electronic services
MoHAP said it is keen to promote its electronic services and automate most of its offerings. With a focus on boosting customer access and utilization for managing health data, the Ministry is also spreading awareness about the methods and mechanisms required to access these services. It looks forward to providing high-quality electronic services that add value and meet customers' needs, in line with the best international standards, based on advanced digital infrastructure.

For her part, Dr. Nada Al Marzouqi, Director of the Department of Public Health, and Prevention, stressed that the electronic system for registering births and deaths plays a crucial role in improving automation plans. It establishes an electronic connection with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security to update the population registers data with the latest information regarding births and deaths. This is achieved by offering electronic notification services for births and deaths from both government and private hospitals and allowing individuals to request the issuance, re-issuance, or replacement of lost birth and death certificates. All these procedures adhere to national indicators and international best practices.
