Dubai, UAE (14 March 2025) - The Ministry of Economy has entered into a three-year cooperation agreement with Nissan Middle East to enhance community awareness and strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights. The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, was officially signed by H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Muaini, Assistant Undersecretary for the Intellectual Property Sector, and Thierry Sabbagh, Divisional Vice President, President - Middle East, KSA & CIS - Nissan & INFINITI.
This collaboration is part of a joint effort to foster an environment that encourages innovation and creativity. It aims to safeguard intellectual property rights through a series of community awareness initiatives designed to educate businesses, entrepreneurs, and the public on the importance of intellectual property compliance. Recognizing and respecting these rights plays a crucial role in advancing economic growth, competitiveness, and technological development across multiple sectors.
H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Muaini emphasized the significance of this agreement in strengthening cooperation between the Ministry and the private sector, staging: 'This agreement reaffirms the Ministry of Economy's commitment to developing strategic partnerships that enhance the protection of intellectual property rights.
