Hundreds of fans enamoured with the Audi Quattro® experience and a large number of Audi vehicle owners as well, signed up for the Abu Dhabi leg of the Quattro® Tour, which was organised by Ali & Sons Audi in the capital recently.

The Quattro® Tour, which makes a stop at various cities in the GCC region in its swing through the Middle East, is designed to give four-wheel driving enthusiasts a chance to test their tactical driving skills by taking on the rigours of a challenging testing course in Audi vehicles.

Apart from a testing driving experience, the Quattro® Tour also tests the drivers' abilities in manoeuvring at speed, braking and steering. Additionally, the entrants are also given valuable tips and tricks for more effective and safe driving as well as an insight into the finer points of Quattro® technology and its advantages.

“Audi's Quattro® is a triumph of technology over the most diverse of conditions. Delivering dynamism and sportiness with the highest standards of safety and precision, the technology has powered the success of the brand over the past 30 years,' said Ahmed bin Ali Al Dhaheri, Chairman and Managing Director of Ali & Sons.

More than three decades ago, Audi Quattro® became the first permanent all-wheel drive system designed for passenger vehicles. Today 70% of all Audi’s automobiles sold in the region are powered by Quattro®.

Able to perform on all types of terrain, it takes the benefits of 4x4 capabilities everywhere you go – whether you’re on a highway or a dirt track. Audi Quattro® distributes power to the wheels that need it the most. The result is incredible traction, sure handling and heightened agility.

With the power to outsmart tough weather conditions and tougher terrain, Audi Quattro® creates a distinct advantage, especially during every day driving providing legendary performance and uncompromising safety.

The Audi Group delivered approximately 1,575,500 cars of the Audi brand to customers in 2013. In 2013, the company reported revenue of €49.9 billion (AED 232 billion) and an operating profit of €5.03 billion (AED 23.40 billion).

The company operates globally in more than 100 markets and has production facilities in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm (Germany), Győr (Hungary), Brussels (Belgium), Bratislava (Slovakia), Martorell (Spain), Kaluga (Russia), Aurangabad (India), Changchun (China) and Jakarta (Indonesia). The company currently employs more than 73,500 people worldwide, of which more than 52,500 are in Germany.
