Experts consider DUGYM CUP 2016 to be an epic in the history of United Arab Emirates

Dubai, UAE, December 5, 2016:  Dubai, the largest city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is undisputedly known for having the tallest building on this planet, the largest mall in the world, biggest man-made island, so on and so forth. But this time, DuGym Rhythmic Gymnastics club is adding a new face by making Dubai the host city of UAE’s first International Rhythmic Gymnastics competition – DuGym Cup. 

Officially approved by Dubai Sports Council, experts believe DuGym Cup 2016 will add a significant mark in the history of rhythmic gymnastics in the Middle East. Rhythmic Gymnastics, an Olympic event, is a symbiosis of art, aesthetic and beauty; making it a true sport being most attractive and beautiful gymnastic discipline that bursts with glamour, blurring the boundaries between sport and art.

Dubai will witness the 1st International Rhythmic Gymnastics competition, DuGym Cup 2016 on the 9th and 10th December 2016 at Al Manara Sports Hall. Adding more colour to the first ever International Gymnastic competition in Dubai, will be the esteemed presence of Noha Abou Shabana, the Vice President of FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics (FIG - International Gymnastics Federation/ Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique).

The International Competition will be followed by the Master Class on the 11th and 12th December 2016, which will feature the performances of some of the World’s top Rhythmic Gymnasts including Rio 2016 Olympic Bronze Medallist Anna Rizatdinova from Ukraine, Dora Vass from Hungary and Maria Mateva from Bulgaria.

Director and head coach of DuGym Rhythmic Gymnastics, Angel, confirmed that DuGym Cup got wide acceptance from around the world and have already got more than 200 international competitors from around 22 countries registered for the first episode of the event. World renowned rhythmic gymnastics coaches are also expected to arrive in Dubai to be part of the esteemed jury who will passionately assess the competitor’s Rhythmic performances in different categories.
DuGym Cup, non-profit event, was founded to emphasis the vision of DuGym Rhythmic Gymnastics which is to create awareness and interest in Rhythmic Gymnastics, one of the wonderful Olympic sporting events. Dubai being the host of such an International event, will give greater motivation to gymnasts from UAE and also gives them chance to be accustomed with the best practices in rhythmic gymnastics during International competitions.
