PO Box holders advised to renew 2017 subscriptions before 31st January

Dubai, December 15, 2016:  Emirates Post has urged all P.O. Box holders to renew their subscriptions for 2017 well before the deadline of January 31, 2017, in order to avoid last-minute rush and fines for late payment.

Emirates Post Group has also reminded subscribers that the renewal can be done through multiple channels. The P.O. Boxes can be renewed at all post offices and through the Emirates Post Group’s website (www.epg.gov.ae), and through mobile app of EPG.  Those renewing at the post offices are required to produce their valid national ID card at the time of renewal.

“We are pleased to inform our subscribers that renewing online using our mobile app can save them a lot of time and effort. This is part of our strategy to encourage the use of our apps for most services,” said Acting CEO of EPG, Mr. Abdulla Mohammed Alashram. “For those renewing at post offices, we recommend early renewal in order to avoid last-minute rush as well as to enable subscribers to arrange additional documents, if required.”

Subscribers who renew after the due date of January 31, 2017, will have to pay a fine for late renewal. Those renewing the P.O. boxes after February 28, 2017, will be permitted to renew only after paying the fines, provided the mailbox has not been transferred to another subscriber.
