Eros Group awarded Great Place to Work in the UAE, 2nd year consecutively.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 8th March 2017:  Eros Group, UAE’s trusted distributor for consumer electronics with a portfolio of world renowned brands Samsung, Hitachi, Linksys, TCL, Midea and many more, has been officially recognized as one of the ‘Top Companies to Work for in the UAE’ in 2017 by Great Place to Work®, a global research, training and consultancy firm that identifies the best workplaces in over 50 countries worldwide.

The official list, which was announced during an awards ceremony on 7 March 2017 at the W Dubai Al Habtoor City, is a ranking of the nation’s 24 best employers based on the confidential feedback of employees and an audit of management policies and practices.

Eros Group has been selected as one of the Top UAE workplaces to work. The Great Place to Work Institute is a global research and consulting firm that identifies and sustains great workplaces. In UAE, the firm works on enhancing the UAE’s workforce on the global market. It focuses on quality, trust and excellence in the workplace.

Accepting the award on behalf of Eros Group were Mr. Ahmed Badri, Director, Eros Group and Mr. Niranjan Gidwani, Deputy CEO, Eros Group. Speaking on the same, Mr. Deepak Babani, CEO, Eros Group said, “We are exceptionally thrilled about this award as it clearly reflects the happiness of Eros Group’s employees. We believe transparency and fairness along with a culture of family like care for all team members sets Eros Group apart. As we turn 50 this year we are proud of an enviable average tenure that an employee spends with Eros Group. We are grateful to have such hard working and loyal individuals and we will continue to ensure the happiness of our people continues”.

To select the ‘Top Companies to Work for in the UAE’, Great Place to Work conducts an evaluation of each participating company. Two-thirds of the company’s score is based on the results of the Institute’s proprietary Trust Index© survey, which is sent to the employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about the management’s credibility, employee engagement and job satisfaction. The other third of the scoring is based on the company’s responses to the Institute’s Culture Audit©, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefits programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring, communication, and development.

Each entry is judged according to performance in eight key areas: Leadership, wellbeing, giving something back, personal growth, fair deal and how members of staff feel towards their manager, company and team.

Commenting on the Top Companies list, Maha Zaatari, Managing Director of Great Place to Work in the UAE, said: “This is without a doubt the strongest level of competition we have seen since launching the Top Companies program in the UAE seven years ago. To be recognized as one of the best workplaces in the UAE is a significant achievement and winners should feel proud of their results. Congratulations to all the Top 24 list makers.”

Eros Group is today standing tall as an organization with over AED 4.5 bn in revenues, 33 retail stores across UAE, 15 world-class brands in its portfolio, and industry recognized awards. The group has a strong team of more than 1300 employees with professional experience in various fields. Eros Group is one of the leading players in consumer electronics, telecom, and allied multi-products in the Middle East. From 2016 onwards, Eros Group has plans to aggressively look at new brands and adjacent businesses over the next two years.
