Dubai, UAE, March 22, 2017: The clock is ticking for UAE entities as they look forward to taking their place in the UAE Pavilion – one of the largest – at the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2017 'Future Energy', which will be held in less than 80 days’ time.
“With less than three months remaining until EXPO 2017, we are happy to announce that the preparations for the exhibition are almost over, and the participating countries are already starting to organize their pavilions”, said Akhmetzhan Yessimov, the Chairman of the Board of JSC National company Astana EXPO-2017.
The United Arab Emirates will host one of the largest pavilions at the event, spread over 980 square metres, that will feature a presence from major UAE organisations. EXPO 2017 will run from 10th June to 10th September in the Kazakhstan capital. The pavilion’s design and installation started last month and is being overseen under the auspices of the UAE’s National Media Council.
Salem Al Ameri, Deputy Director-General of the National Media Council and Commissioner-General of the pavilion at the Astana Expo 2017, visited Astana to oversee the progress for the UAE’s participation at the event.
In January, Dubai EXPO 2020 and Astana EXPO 2017 signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi that would see the two cooperate on various mutually beneficial projects such as the Astana International Financial Centre, Islamic Finance, and the development of ‘green’ bonds through the Centre for Development of Green Technologies in Kazakhstan.
“Holding an exhibition of this scale is a new experience for the Central Asian countries. We hope that EXPO 2017 will bring together the world community forces in terms of searching for solutions to modern energy challenges”, stressed Yessimov.
A highly varied business programme awaits specialists from all over the world. As part of EXPO 2017, there will be such events as the Stable Energy Development Assurance Ministerial Conference, the 14thEurasian Media Forum, and the 12th KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum New Energy Horizons: Prospects of Cooperation and Investments.
