Immersive attractions rule at DEAL 2017: IEC
 

‘DEAL 2017’ to redefine entertainment with 12D technology

Dubai, UAE, March 29th, 2017: DEAL 2017 ushered in the much touted 12D technology for gaming and movie buffs who would witness real-life experience which would not only be interactive but also immersive in nature. During the third day, exhibitors signed contracts for innovative products and projects, amusement rides and other equipment as the show this year had ushered in more than 300 firms from across 33 countries and attracted 8000 quality trade visitors apart from over 65 new exhibitors. The numbers at the show prove the fact the amusement industry is growing at a fast and steady pace. Statistics indicate that the amusement and leisure industry is set to touch AED118 billion by 2017 as per the Global Industry Analyst report.

DEAL is Middle East’s gateway for all the participants and associates within the amusement and entertainment industry which can boost their growth and give them a smooth transition into the region’s market. Apart from bringing attention to several innovations, DEAL 2017 is projecting cutting-edge inventions like much-anticipated - augmented reality games, virtual reality games, 9D park rides, 12D cinemas, family entertainment centre equipment, among the endless array of ingenious modernizations presented. The advancement of these innovations sets a new benchmark within the Middle East and even the world’s entertainment sector.

“More and more amusement providers are focusing on 12D technology to clients in the Middle East entertainment and leisure sector. 12D technology has been billed as the next generation of immersive and interactive entertainment. The technology emulates real life experiences with ride simulations that is inclusive of light, wind, motion and a curved screen to make the visual or gaming experience much more stimulative and interactive. 12D technology is the latest fad and here to stay as its gaining popularity among the masses especially young people who want the interactive quotient in entertainment scale new levels. The wide gamut of 12D technology benefits can be realised at amusement parks, indoor themed parks, museums, family entertainment centres where it can also be channelised for edutainment purposes,” said Mr. Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Chairman, IEC.

12D theatre comprises of few essential components – stereo screening system, special effect equipment and vibration seat, and computer controlling system. These there components clubbed together stimulate visual, touch and feeling. It can bring the perceptual senses of the viewers to be a part of the plot. The viewers can feel the scene close by and experience a surround vision apart from hearing, touching and smelling in the simulative environment which enables real world life experience.

It is a very exciting time to be involved in the exploding market having involvement in theme parks, water parks and FEC’s both standalone and integrated into Malls. At DEAL this year we will be showcasing our Street Charge solar powered mobile phone charging station, solar powered bollards and path lighting, as well as our themed litter bins, benches and resin moulded products, all suitable for branding and IP usage,” said, Alan Lowry, CEO, Environmental Street Furniture.

DEAL 2017 brought in some of the key players in the industry, with regional and global names such as Al Hokair Group,  Amusement Services International – UAE, Embed International – UAE, EOS - Darsie' SRL – Italy, Falgas Industries - Spain,  Innovative Concepts in Entertainment – USA, Intercard – USA, Moser's Rides – Italy, Polin Waterparks and Pool Systems – Turkey, SBF – Visa Group – Italy, Switch International – Turkey, United Distributing – UK, Warehouse of Games – UAE, among other industry leaders from across the globe.

The DEAL show has brought in innovators from various parts of the world such as Belgium, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Italy, UK, France, Turkey, and USA, apart from several countries that come to the show every year. The show witnessed a huge gathering of stakeholders within the amusement and entertainment sector with new exhibitors from several new countries.
