ADCB launches Travel Credit Card to offer unprecedented savings to the globetrotters and the adventurers

In partnership with Cleartrip, Hotels.com and MasterCard, travellers can get unprecedented savings and rewards

Abu Dhabi, 10 April 2017: Leading regional bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has unveiled its trailblazing Traveller Credit Card with incomparable rewards and benefits that deliver generous savings for the UAE’s globetrotters, the adventurers and the day-trippers. The one of its kind Traveller Credit Card in partnership with MasterCard, Hotels.com and Cleartrip, has been designed with the needs of the region’s traveller at its heart.

Ideal for those who desire to see the world; the ultimate leisure explorers and the avid business travellers, users can look forward to a year-round 20% discount on flight tickets on Cleartrip.ae on any airline and any class, and in addition 20% off on hotel bookings on Hotels.com for any destinations globally. Customers will also benefit from a 0% bank processing charge on all their purchases overseas, including a complimentary two-night stay upon signing up and up to a six-night stay on each annual renewal of the card.  The Traveller Credit Card also allows frequent flyers to avail of the extensive offers from anywhere across the globe including free travel insurance and unlimited airport lounge access internationally.

Commenting on the launch, Head of Retail Banking, Abdul Shakeel, said: “We wanted to create a Credit Card that appeals directly to the traveller mind-set of those here in the UAE. At ADCB, the customer need is always first and with the Traveller Credit Card we hope that we are inspiring and enabling people to travel more, explore the world and have a rewarding experience as well.”

Insights around the growing adventurous nature of the GCC traveller and their desire for new places and new experiences, together with the high frequency that those in the Middle East often travel* motivated ADCB to create the most powerful and rewarding card to be made available in the region.

In order to make that dream holiday or spontaneous weekend break a reality for everyone, ADCB brought together the best possible partners to reward customers with more opportunities to travel, and to benefit from a generous selection of discounts when they do. The Traveller Credit Card offers exclusive benefits and a selection of exciting offers specially curated for travel enthusiasts and those who seek better value from their trips.

With the Traveller Credit Card customers can benefit from a wide array of offers from the moment of booking right through to the end of their trip –wherever they are in the world. This collaboration is the most rewarding for travellers in the entire Middle East region as it allows them fast access to premium outlets and underlines our commitment to deliver services to our customers that are easy to use and provide everyday value.

Isabelle Pinson, VP EMEA at Hotels.com brand added: “We are thrilled to be working with one of the largest banks in the Middle East in a partnership that delivers great benefits. Hotels.com believes in rewarding travellers, as shown by our leading rewards programme and focus on innovation to create lightning fast apps and mobile-web experiences. Middle Eastern consumers are world travellers who want ease of use and responsive service on the go, this partnership with ADCB is a fantastic way of delivering that.”

Stuart Crighton, Founder and CEO, Cleartrip said: 'UAE is one of the fastest growing online travel markets in Asia, and Cleartrip has been able to serve this market in the last few years taking a leadership position. We have created a comprehensive travel platform which makes for a compelling choice for our customers. An ADCB credit card is one of the popular options for travellers on Cleartrip, and we are confident that the newly launched traveller card is a step in solving customer pain points for their travel needs.'

Eyad Al-Kourdi, General Manager Southern Gulf & MENA Advisor, Mastercard, said, “The new Traveller Credit Card from Mastercard is designed to provide consumers the trendy lifestyle they desire, with rewards and benefits that go beyond their expectations. Frequent travellers will appreciate the enhanced peace of mind that comes with the card’s multi-tiered security, as well as the simplified payment experience that goes a long way towards making travel seamless and stress-free.”
