ADNOC Distribution Opens Two New Service Stations in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah

Abu Dhabi, 31 May, 2017: ADNOC Distribution has announced the opening of two new service stations in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, taking the total number of service stations in its UAE-wide network to 447: these include 347 stations dedicated to vehicles and boats and 100 stations serving specialised sectors.

The newly opened stations are the Tawazun service station in the Al Ajban area of Abu Dhabi and the Ras Al Khaimah Marine service station - a land and marine service station in Ras Al Khaimah.

Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, said: 'The opening of these two new service stations represents the latest stage in ADNOC Distribution’s overall expansion strategy aimed at meeting growing energy demand from various sectors in the UAE.”

'Since the beginning of 2017, we have opened 21 new stations out of the 35 scheduled for completion this year across the UAE. We are proud of this achievement and will continue to work towards enhancing the experience of our customers by offering high-quality services and products through an expanded presence across the country,' Al Rashdi added.

Located on the Al Ain – Sweihan road near Tawazun Industrial Park in Abu Dhabi, Tawazun Service Station comprises five islands dedicated to small vehicles and three islands dedicated to trucks. It features 13 dispensers offering E-Plus 91, Special 95, Super 98 and Green Diesel. Operating round-the-clock, the service station has sufficient fuelling capacity to serve 26 vehicles simultaneously.

The service station offers a wide range of facilities and services, including oil change, automatic car wash, a small car repair workshop, an LPG cylinder depot, a mosque, an ATM, a fast food outlet, and an ADNOC Oasis convenience store. In the future, the station will add natural gas for vehicles (NGV) facilities.

Located on Ras Al Khaimah Port along the Old Corniche Road, Ras Al Khaimah Marine Service Station is designed to serve fishermen, boat owners, and motorists. Comprising two islands – one located in-land and one marine island, the facility is fitted out with three pumps retailing the fuel varieties of E-Plus 91, Special 95and Green Diesel.

The station is equipped with a floating dock and flood spot lights to help provide a secure and efficient night-time service. The station also features a fire-resistant design incorporating extinguishers and other advanced fire-fighting equipment.

Floating sea barriers and corridors for safety as mandated by ADNOC Distribution’s HSSE requirements are also incorporated in the station.

Like all ADNOC Distribution service stations, the newly opened service stations are fitted out with state-of-the-art HSE equipment, creating a safer and healthier environment for employees and customers as well as residents of the surrounding areas.
