DESIGN: FREE FORM & NEGATIVE SPACE
Free form negative space designs are easy, expressive and great for runway because they can be quickly executed. Go bold with the design for maximum visual impact.
Fashion week Spring 2017 saw tons of nails in this style on the runway. Such was the case at Proenza Schoeler, Vera Wang, Rodarte and Novis.
Not only was this trend of negative space encompassed by irregular and asymmetrical design seen multiple times on the nails but also in terms of clothing like the iconic sheer paneled negative space dress at Christopher Kane.
Vanilla, creams and whites are coming in all cuts and shapes this spring 2017. From stark and starched oxfords with clean crispy white cotton to creamy transparency fabrics reminiscent of bridal party dresses. Vanilla in copious amounts at Rick Owens, Stella McCartney, Celine, Loewe, and Dior.
