Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Center sees nearly 300,000 visitors through its doors during the First Half of 2017

Dubai, UAE, July 24, 2017:  Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Center, a Ras Al Khaimah Chamber initiative, has successfully hosted nine different consumer and specialist exhibitions during the first half of 2017 which drew 296,374 local and international visitors.

Jamal Al Taher, Acting Director of RAK Exhibition Center, said: “The Center offered a wide variety of exhibitions and activities, and we benefited from a 4% increase in visitor numbers against the same period last year.” He emphasized the fact that the Center is one of the oldest exhibition centers in the country and an integral part of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber's efforts to support the exhibition and conference industry in the Emirate. He also added that these figures are an indication of the stability of the exhibition industry and its positive contribution to the development and investment climate in the Emirate.

The Center is also working on several development plans during the current year to attract more exhibitions to the Emirate. It is also keen to maintain its high level of social responsibility through its assigned role to support the community and provide a range of services to several sectors in industry and the community at large.

Exhibitions held at the Center included: RAK Book Fair, Fashion Village Fair, Skyline Ras Al Khaimah, Asia of East, Shopping World Exhibition, the Bridal Show, RAK Exhibition for Education and Training and Employment, Sham’s Exhibition, and RAK Ramadan Festival 2017.
