Supreme Legislation Committee attracts young national talent with promising career opportunities during Careers UAE 2018

Dubai, UAE, March 13, 2018 -  The General Secretariat of the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC) continues to attract qualified national cadres to promote legal and legislative excellence during its successful participation in Careers UAE 2018, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The SLC’s booth at the event has attracted a great number of young professionals and has garnered appreciation for its achievements in terms of creating an innovative and positive environment that had the greatest impact on increasing the number of UAE national employees between 2016 and 2017, bringing its total national manpower to 64 per cent by the end of 2017, compared to the 63 per cent in 2016.

Visitors to Careers UAE 2018 will have the opportunity to learn about the career development opportunities that are currently available at the SLC. It opens new horizons for promising national capacity to become part of the development of sustainable and balanced government legislation pioneered by Dubai. The SLC booth showcased the most advanced professional development programmes and training courses designed to drive the optimal investment of human resources, which has grown by 50 per cent to reach 83 training workshops in 2017, compared to 20 training workshops in 2016.

H.E. Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, SLC Secretary General, said: “The participation in the exhibition is part of the SLC General Secretariat’s commitment to support Emiratisation as a strategic priority and national responsibility that necessitates concerted efforts to develop the UAE's promising talents to play an active and pioneering role in the UAE's development and progress. He took note of the importance of providing new opportunities to help empower young people, who, as quoted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, are the strength of the country and its treasure.

He added: “It is our responsibility to contribute effectively to achieving the objectives of Dubai 2021 Plan, in building productive, creative, and entrepreneurial individuals that are the solid foundation of the comprehensive renaissance. This inspires us to launch integrated training programmes aimed at preparing a qualified generation, to build a legislative system based on professionalism, transparency and excellence. We look forward to continuing our role in attracting fresh graduates and experienced employees to be part of the path of excellence in the development of legislation that keeps pace with the times and envisions the future. We are working on clear plans to attract, develop and retain efficient human resources, with a focus on creating an excellent work environment with employee satisfaction as our core goal, in line with the national drive to reach the category of the world's most advanced, innovative and happy nations by 2021.”

Moza Naghmash Al Mansouri, Head of Human Resources at the SLC General Secretariat said: 'Our participation in the exhibition comes in line with our strategic aspirations to attract and prepare talented and innovative cadres capable of competing in the labor market and to contribute effectively to making a positive impression within the legal and legislative sectors. We are very pleased with the popularity of our booth during this year’s exhibition, which is a success that reflects the high confidence placed by the national talent in our professional opportunities, incentives, and privileges. We look forward to attracting more women cadres as part of our efforts to enhance their contribution to improving the legislative and legal systems, in line with the requirements of comprehensive development and the needs of the 21st century, with a focus on providing more training courses during this year. '

Careers UAE, which takes place from March 13 to 15, 2018, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, is a pioneering event that attracts and recruits promising human resources, inspired by the vision of the wise leadership in providing a wide range of career development opportunities, thereby developing the career path for the most promising talent across the UAE.
