Dubai, UAE, August 26, 2018: The Uganda International Hotels & Restaurants Expo was founded in 2013 as an international hospitality and tourism organization that focuses on promoting the hospitality, tourism, business investments in Uganda and abroad. Bridging the gap between service providers and the international business community of suppliers, the programs and strategies of the 6th Annual Uganda International Hotels & Restaurants Expo are carefully designed to provide an equal playing ground and marketing platform for all stakeholders in tourism, hospitality & business investment industries in East Africa.
The 2018 Expo will commence from 6th to 8th September 2018 at Hotel AFRICANA, Kampala, and is primarily aimed at showcasing Uganda’s hospitality and tourism investment opportunities, bringing and promoting the international business community to drive economic, social, and environmental benefits to the people, the investors, hospitality and tourism industry of Uganda.
Different programs of the 2018 Expo will highlight the new investment framework and convey how potential investors from all over the world can work with the local service providers. One of the objectives of the upcoming Expo is to launch a new international initiative to attract international tour operators into Uganda, making it a destination for high-end paying clients / services, and secure long-term businesses for the growth of the tourism business investments.
Participants at the 2018 Expo will gain firsthand experience of Uganda’s diverse hospitality industry and be offered a unique opportunity to invest in Uganda’s profitable sector. Among those expected to attend the event are local and International Tourism Operators, Commercial and Impact Investors, Tour Organizations, Development Finance Institutions, Global Organizations, High Net Worth Individuals, along with Sector Specialists and Journalists.
Among the numerous activities, live shows and events at the 2018 Expo is the ‘breakfast business meeting’ on Wednesday, 5th September, 2018 in Nile Hall at Hotel Africana, from 9:00am - 12:00pm. This platform will brings together business owners, tour companies and operators, ceos, hotel owners, government parastatals, and other stakeholders together with the local, East African, Ugandan businesses. A distinguished panel will lead the discussion “Looking beyond Uganda, Africa” to focus on growth and promoting business investments in the Tourism and Hospitality industry. Different stakeholders and private sector businesses will engage on a number of issues regarding the hotel industry, opportunities for trade, etc. to explore business opportunities.
The Expo will also serve as the ideal platform to showcase cutting edge trends from around the world that will help participants gauge and understand consumer expectations. The 2018 edition will integrate a broad array of international foodservice and hospitality equipment, machines and accessories, making it a well-positioned one-stop business platform for buyers. The latest iteration of the expo will also serve as an excellent marketplace, offering plenty of networking and business opportunities for stakeholders in business, tourism and the hospitality industry.
With numerous activities and attractions organized for stakeholders, international visitors and families, the 2018 Expo will conclude with recognizing exhibitors, smart tech and kitchen innovations that are directed towards water and energy efficiency, as well as creative achievements of Food and Beverage innovators for clever convenience packaging and measurable advances in environmental responsibility.
