Leading Tennis Stars Set to Compete in the Mubadala World Tenns Championship This Week Pay Homage to the Rich Culture of Abu Dhabi With a Visit to Qasr Al Hosn
Abu Dhabi, 26th December 2018:   FLASH Entertainment, organizers of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship (MWTC), today took several of the tournament’s star players on a cultural journey of Abu Dhabi with a tour of the newly renovated, Qasr Al Hosn.

Ahead of the tournament, three-time ATP title winner Karen Khachanov, Australian Open Semi-Finalist Hyeon Chung, world number 8 Dominic Thiem and MWTC defending Champion Kevin Anderson, were given a first-hand experience of Abu Dhabi’s rich heritage and in-depth look into the Capital’s glorious past. The players were not only gifted beautiful, leather tennis racket covers hand-made by the House of Artisans at Qasr Al Hosn, but also had a spot of training in front of the waters of the recently opened historical site, enjoying an impromptu rally using a traditional fishing net, customised into a tennis net.

In its 11th edition, the MWTC will be held from 27th – 29th December 2018 at the International Tennis Center at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi. Along with the above players, the star-studded tournament will also be joined by world numbers one and two, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, seven-time Grand Slam winner Venus Williams and 23-time Grand Slam Champion Serena Williams.

Tickets are priced from AED 100, and can be purchased from www.ticketmaster.ae or by calling 800 86 823 and all Virgin megastores across the UAE. Kids aged between 2 to 12 years can enter for free on Day One of the Championship, along with the purchase of one adult ticket.
