Al Bait Sharjah The Chosen Venue For The Belarus Culture Days in UAE

Dubai, UAE, January 30, 2019:  Taking a step further towards placing the region’s rich civilization, heritage and arts on the global cultural map, Al Bait will serve as the concert venue for the first edition of Belarus Culture Days in UAE, under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Culture & Knowledge Development in cooperation with the Embassy of Belarus on February 1, 2019, taking place 7:30 pm onwards.

The event will feature the State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus along with Emirati musicians and composers and will be held across Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai. At Al Bait, Sharjah musical activities and a concert will be held, including the State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus led by Maestro Yevgeny R. Boskov. The orchestra will be accompanied by Emirati musicians Hamad Al Tai and Ibrahim Al Junaibi on the piano, who will perform pieces of their own composition, thus paying homage to Emirati aesthetics and highlighting the region’s rich cultural history. Harmoniously integrated into the historic fabric of the emirate of Sharjah, the luxury resort will continue to be the hub for highlighting the region’s culture and art and will execute numerous initiatives to highlight the UAE's flourishing, multi-layered cultural landscape.

Besides enthralling guests with musical compositions by these maestros, The Library at Al Bait will host an art exhibition, ‘Cornflowers Bridge’ by two Belarusian artists, Grigorij Ivanov and Natalia Ivanova during the Belarus Culture Days in UAE. Creating poetic-lofty worlds, dominated by the harmony of nature and humans, Natalia Ivanova is a renowned Belarusian painter, who excels at depicting symbolic figurative art. A Belarusian avant-garde, Grigorij Ivanov is a member of the famous “Pluralis” group and a pioneer in his own right. He is the founder of a new trend in art named “Stevism” the power of light.

With an aim to strengthen cultural relations with the Republic of Belarus, the Belarus Culture Days in the UAE will serve as an ideal platform for artists from the two countries to team up and innovate in the various forms of arts and culture. The program aims to open up new avenues and collaborations of cultural cooperation. Moreover, it will enable UAE’s counterparts in Belarus to take a closer look at the region’s rich civilization, heritage and arts. Apart from fostering cultural exchange, the program will also promote intercultural exchanges and dialogues between intellectuals from the UAE and the Republic of Belarus.

“Striking a harmonious balance with the culture, history, civilization and quintessential Emirati etiquettes, Al Bait Sharjah is deeply invested in honouring the heritage of the region. With the heritage resort serving as the concert venue for the Belarus Culture Days in the UAE, guests and residents of the region can experience the multi-layered cultural landscape of the region and engage with artists and intellectuals from both the countries,” shares Patrick Moukarzel, the resort’s General Manager.
