Jewellery and Watch Show Opens Its Doors on 26th October

Featuring New Brands to the Region and New Digital Initiatives

29th September 2019, Abu Dhabi:  Now in its 27th edition,  the Jewellery and Watch Show will once again be returning to Abu Dhabi next month on 26-30th October at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

With hundreds of exciting brands from more than 25 countries, the Jewellery and Watch Show (JWS) will be hosting an array of unique jewellery designers, many of which will be displayed for the first time during the show.

JWS remains a prominent moment when designers can showcase their latest collections and provides a unique platform for unveiling trend-setting pieces that visitors can view first hand. Most of the valuable lines of jewellery and watches revealed at the show are rare and have never been presented before in retail outlets or other jewellery shows.

The organizers, Reed Exhibitions, has ensured that for the upcoming edition the event features several new designers from all across the globe. Some of the new designers this year include: Al Zain Jewellery, Lubhyati Fine Jewelry, Tejori, Jovial Watches and Onirika to name a few.

These new designers are planning to present an extensive range of exclusive pieces of jewellery and watches from several significant categories to suit various budgets such as jewellery for every day wear, bridal and traditional gold.

Mohammed Meheiddine, Event Manager said, “Like every year our vision is to ensure visitors of JWS are offered a remarkable experience in their search for distinctive products and brands not found in the mainstream. Whether they are looking for high-end items or lower priced everyday pieces, 150 brands offer a variety of options for diverse budgets. We have worked diligently to bring new designers admired from across the globe to the show, as well as the most respected brands everybody loves in the region.”

He also added that visitors will all be able to find what they are looking for whether it is simple items for every day wear or lavish and artistic limited editions for special events.

One of the main features of the show is the International Designer Gallery, which represents the global element of the show and allows international designers to highlight their jewels and designs to local customers who seek fresh and contemporary items. Most of the new exhibitors in the International Designer Gallery such as Sunita, Kohinoor Jewellers, Mia Moon, Primus Jewelry and Veschetti Gioielli will all be unveiling new collections that are innovative and have never been seen before in Abu Dhabi.

Another prominent part of the event is the Emirati Designer Gallery filled with local brands that are dedicated to promoting young Emirati entrepreneurs and provides a podium for emerging talent to be visible. This year there are several new UAE designers who have selected JWS as their debut for their brand. Examples of new exhibitors are: Arqa Jewellery, Baguette Design, Charms of Arabia, Tanache Jewels and Pearls Galllery who will be enriching the Emirati Gallery with their bejewelled collections.

To heighten awareness and encourage UAE jewellery designers, JWS is once again hosting the EBDA’A Award in collaboration with Azza Al Qubaisi, the first jewellery artist in the region. The Awards are designed to give designers a chance to submit their jewellery design sketches and be evaluated by experts who will also provide counsel and guidance. The categories for the Awards are: Pearl Design, Emirati Design, Calligraphy and People of Determination. The deadline for submission is 10th October 2019.
