Malabar Gold & Diamonds Continues Inauguration Spree with 3 New Showrooms Across Malaysia and India
• The inaugurations are part of the 22 new stores’ opening globally, in January 2022, announced by the Group
• The Group will invest another USD 107.5 Million for this new phase of expansion this year
 
January 19, 2022:  Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the largest jewellery retailers globally with a strong retail network of over 280 outlets spread across 10 countries, continues its inauguration spree with 3 new showrooms in Malaysia and India.  The showroom in Malaysia is that of MGD Lifestyle Jewellery, a venture from Malabar Gold & Diamonds, and was inaugurated on 13 January 2022 by Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Haji Aminuddin Bin Harun, Chief Minister in the presence of other dignitaries and senior management officials of Malabar Gold & Diamonds. The showroom in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu was inaugurated on 14th January 2022 by Honorable Member of Parliament Mr. Subbarayan - Tiruppur Constituency, while the showroom in Siddipet, Telangana was inaugurated on 15th January 2022 by Shri. T Harish Rao Garu, Minister of Finance, Health, Medical & Family Welfare Minister, Government of Telangana in the presence of senior management officials and other dignitaries. 
 
The Siddipet store spanning 4000 sq ft, located at Bharath Nagar, is the 16th and largest outlet of the group in Telangana, providing the largest collection of designs as well as fair price for jewellery. The stores in both Tirupur and Siddipet offer a wide range of gold, diamond, precious gemstone and bridal collections. It also showcases the latest Brides of India Collection with specially curated traditional and contemporary designs.
 
‘With every new store launch, we aim to be more accessible to our customers and cater to their every need. All our 3 stores will provide customers with a world-class shopping experience, superior craftsmanship, and a wide variety of designs suitable for every occasion, said Mr. MP Ahammed, Chairman, Malabar Group.
 
With a wide range of designs from over 10 countries, to suit traditional and contemporary tastes and the promise of a world-class shopping experience, the new store in Mydin, Seremban 2, Malaysia will further boost the brand’s retail presence in the country. The store offers a luxurious ambience and brilliant designs crafted in 916 hallmarked gold and diamonds.
 
‘As part of increasing our investment in Malaysia, we have aggressive expansion plans in the region. Our objective is to deliver the best quality products and services to all our customers in Seremban. We are sure that these store openings will provide employment opportunities for several locals in addition to skill training and specialization in the gold and diamond industry’, said Mr. Shamlal Ahamed, Managing Director – International Operations.
 
Malabar Group commits 5% of its profit to support socially responsible purposes both in India and abroad, since its inception in 1993. Education, health, women empowerment, affordable housing and environmental protection are the focus areas for the Group.
