Users can now search and compare insurance plans from multiple health insurance providers on a real-time platform

Dubai, UAE, 29 January 2014 – bayzat, an online platform that provides a fast and easy way to find banking and insurance products, has recently launched a new application that provides accurate information about health insurance plans in the UAE. This is the first platform in the country to provide real-time comparison of health insurance rates from multiple insurance providers. The launch coincides with the new Dubai Health Insurance Law (ISAHD – meaning happiness in Arabic) announcement, which will be effective in Dubai from early 2014 and states that health insurance will be mandatory for all residents and visitors of the emirate.

Commenting on the latest addition to the website, Talal Bayaa, Co-founder and CEO of bayzat, said: “This is a great initiative to improve the healthcare industry of Dubai and bayzat supports it all the way. We have the platform to do comparison searches and thought it would be great if we can provide a service for companies and individuals to compare and select the best solutions for their respective health insurance needs. This is a mandatory law and our application will be a one-stop shop for the entire process, regardless of how big or small the requirements.”

ISAHD was approved by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The fundamental basis of the law is to ensure that every national, resident and visitor in Dubai has essential health insurance coverage and access to basic health services.

“We've partnered with a leading broker in the UAE which has enabled us to provide a comprehensive selection of solutions at the most attractive rates. This will give our users the advantage of comparing packages based on their exact requirements and receiving a list of perfectly matched offerings,” added Talal.

bayzat's health insurance comparison platform is very user-friendly and easy to use. Visitors can search for plans based on specific benefits, coverage in other countries, or even by selecting which hospital or clinic they want included in their medical network. What makes the process even simpler is the fact that you can ask the bayzat team questions about insurance, and have an expert from a regulated insurance broker contact you to help throughout the entire process.

bayzat's health insurance platform is completely free. The new application was only recently launched, but the reception from consumers has been outstanding. Analysis from bayzat has shown that users do not necessarily search for the cheapest plans or lowest deductibles; but rather focus on ensuring they are covered in specific hospitals and clinics in the UAE, in addition to availing important benefits.

“The new law may lead to many complications within organizations and we hope that with our new application they will enjoy a headache free process. It's our aim to provide efficient services like these to the region,” concluded Talal.
