November 12, 2013: Deerfields Townsquare Shopping Centre, Abu Dhabi's new community mall, has today (Tuesday, November 12, 2013) given an exclusive tour of its facilities from Future Centre for Special Needs, a non-profit organization providing special education and therapy-based services to young individuals who are disabled and autistic. Mall Manager Bruce Von Kaufmann personally accompanied 10 boys and two teachers from Future Center who strolled around the mall from 10 am to 12 noon. The group rested for a while at the Starbucks coffee shop and later on shopped for materials for cooking class requirements at Deerfields' recently opened 6,700 m² Carrefour Hypermarket.
Deerfields Townsquare Shopping Centre is emerging as the primary shopping destination for more than 200,000 residents occupying the nearby suburban areas of Shahama, Bahia, Al Raha, Al Rahba and Khalifa City. Major store openings will continue throughout the first quarter of 2014 as the mall prepares to house nearly 200 of the Middle East's high-profile retailers. Deerfields is a flagship project of venture capital firm Mubarak Brothers Investments.
