[UAE, November 25, 2013] - MAPEI, the leading global manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and chemical products for construction, introduced its latest additive technology, Re-Con Zero (Returned Concrete with Zero Impact) at the International Concrete Sustainability Conference, a part of The Big 5 International Building & Construction Show 2013 taking place from November 25 to 28, 2013 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The innovative solution allows the complete recycling of the returned concrete from the job site to the batching plant within minutes without any wastes or negative impact to the environment.
The RECON-ZERO System does not require special equipment as its additives treat the returned concrete in the truck mixer. The resulting granular material can be used as aggregate for new concrete production. MAPEI's new solution is environment-friendly as it foregoes the use of as much as 5 per cent of natural aggregates (depending on local standards), thus preserving natural resources and reducing the cost for waste disposal.

MAPEI is the Head Partner of the International Concrete Sustainability Conference, a high profile conference for the concrete industry, taking place from November 26-27, 2013 at DWTC, First floor, Room Abu Dhabi {above IBIS Hotel}. The 1st day (November 26th) of the conference will witness Dr. Giorgio Ferrari from MAPEI SpA in Italy giving a technical presentation at 2pm titled: New Sustainable Technology To Recover Returned Concrete, this paper will be show-case the technology he invented that enables the recovery of returned concrete from the site and transforms it into aggregates for reuse in new concrete production. On day two ( Nov 27th ), a LIVE practical demonstration will reveal how the Re-Con Zero system actually works along with a raffle draw for the visitors.
