**How to bring your home to life for the new season **
United Arab Emirates, September 30, 2020: It may still be summer here in the UAE but as Autumn / Winter approaches, there is no better time to refresh and update your home, creating a constantly evolving space that includes all of the things that you love. In keeping in line with global trends, Autumn is the time for many of us to snuggle up with blankets and Autumnal scented candles as the temperature drops, creating a cosy and comfortable, warming space.
If you’d prefer not to invest at this time in more costly pieces of furniture, keeping up-to-date with the key colours of the season are a great way to revamp your existing decor, whether in the form of a feature wall or with some new accessories, giving a nod to the trend without having to redecorate your whole home. Colour plays a huge part in our everyday lives and can affect everything from mood, productivity and how we interact within a room and is a hugely important factor to consider when updating your home for the coming season.
Cofounder of C’est ici, Monica Durou shares with us her insight on trending colours to look out for this season:
1. Military Olive: Military olive is a strong and stalwart green tone imbued with a rich narrative. Update your home this season with a warm, classic feature wall in your master bedroom. Olive hues offer the perfect balance without being too cold.
2. Vanilla: Soft palettes and beiges are where it’s at this season. Use the colour to give a warmth to walls and add some rugs, soft furnishings and vases for a subtle and sophisticated look.
3. Burgundy: A robust, red shade, Burnt Henna featured in Pantone’s colour trend report for Autumn/Winter 2020/2021 and combines heartiness with sophisticated earthiness, which screams Autumn to us! This trend allows you to be bold! Experiment with different shades creating a true statement room.
4. Tanned Birch: This rugged and woodsy tan shade is evocative of rustic nature and is perfect for creating a soft, simplistic look within your home.
