Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 22 February, 2023: Carrefour – owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in the UAE – is offering discounts of up to 50 per cent on more than 6,000 products as part of its Ramadan campaign starting 21 February. This will help customers to come together, live better and shop smarter throughout the holy month.
Analysing shopping preferences and data insights, Carrefour is catering to its customers’ diverse demands by targeting its promotions on the most popular items at this time of year. New deals will be launched every week across multiple categories including food, beverages, technology, and homeware. In addition, the brand is using its vast network of local and international suppliers to boost stock availability by 15 per cent and meet the increased demand throughout Ramadan.
Christophe Orcet, Head of Commercial and Operations of Carrefour at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, said: “In line with our strategy to deliver exceptional value through every experience, we have worked diligently over the past six months to secure discounts on over 6,000 products by negotiating with our extensive supplier network. We remain committed to supporting the growth and prosperity of our communities as their trusted local partner by ensuring stock availability and price stability during Ramadan while promoting the taste of home. We are also proud to be collaborating with the Emirates Red Crescent to distribute Ramadan boxes filled with essentials to those in need as part of our ongoing mission to uplift the surrounding community.”
Carrefour’s Ramadan campaign extends over 6 weeks and will see many exciting promotions – from discounts on bulk buys, to exclusive offers from international brands, and discounts on its own Private Label. This extensive range of locally developed items averages 27 per cent more value when compared to leading brands of the same high quality.
Carrefour is encouraging a local approach through designated showcases for regional SMEs as well as delicious Arabic pastries at selected stores. There will be an ‘Emirati Fresh Festival’ with price reductions of up to 30 per cent on fresh fruits and vegetables from neighbouring farms. Plus, customers can discover four delicious new iftar meals prepared by the talented chefs at Carrefour’s Central Production Unit – with the choice of koshare, chicken kabsa, fish and rice, or mutton and rice starting from as little as AED15.
Keeping the profound spirit of giving alive this Ramadan, Carrefour has once again partnered with Emirates Red Crescent to offer customers the chance to donate boxes containing essential food items such as sugar, rice, and cooking oil. Boxes are priced at either AED50 or AED100, with everything from the retailer’s own Private Label, and can be purchased for customers’ own use or given to a family in need.
