Dubai, UAE: Union Coop received a specialized delegation from the retail trade sector of the People's Republic of China, consisting of more than 30 individuals from various governmental, economic, and commercial entities in the field of retail trade. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation between the two parties and explore investment opportunities for both sides.
Receiving the delegation were the Managing Director Eng. Abdulla Mohammad Rafie Al Dallal, Mr. Nicolas Allan, the Chief Operating Officer, and Mr. Yaqoob Al Balooshi, Fresh Category Trade Dept. Manager, Union Coop. During the visit, the two parties discussed avenues for cooperation in product supply and the exchange of commercial and economic expertise.
Union Coop's Managing Director emphasized that the United Arab Emirates has a historical trade relationship with the People's Republic of China based on strategic partnership and fruitful cooperation. He pointed out that China is the largest trading partner of the UAE, which is why the Cooperative is keen on expanding its trade and investment relations with China through efforts, knowledge exchange, and agreements to attract more innovative Chinese brands. This is in line with our endeavours to enhance collaboration among all retailers and suppliers worldwide.
For his part, the Cooperative's Managing Director emphasized that Union Coop seeks to enhance collaboration among all retail traders and suppliers worldwide. He noted that the cooperative is dedicated to consistently exchanging expertise with representatives and agents of global brands in retail and the supply of high-quality food and non-food products, to meet consumer demands and ensure their satisfaction.
Mr. Yaqoob Al Balooshi provided a detailed tour to the delegation of the Al Warqa City Mall and the Union Coop Warqa branch. He highlighted the essential services offered by the cooperative to consumers, which are implemented with best practices in sales, delivery, customer happiness services, expansion strategies, and digital solutions for retail. Additionally, the delegation was briefed on various aspects of retail culture within the Cooperative, hydroponic agriculture, and the maintenance of the 'Union Farm' at the Warqa branch. All inquiries from the visiting delegation were addressed as well.
In turn, the visiting delegation extended their gratitude to Union Coop, symbolising its various sections, departments, and employees, for the warm welcome. They commended the services provided by the cooperative to consumers and praised the practices followed in the field of retail and the accompanying services that adhere to global standards.
The delegation emphasized the significance of the meeting and the offered opportunity to explore the mechanisms of product display, in line with shopper appeal. They highlighted the substantial efforts of the cooperative's management in retail trade development, and their endeavour to establish commercial relationships and trade exchanges with it.
