• Etisalat simplifies business line rental plans
• Offers transparency and predictability in billing
Abu Dhabi-UAE: 5 September, 2013: Etisalat, one of the largest telecoms operators in the Middle East and Africa, today announced its plans to offer all local and national calls to fixed lines free to all business subscribers from the beginning of October.
This initiative is part of new simplified set of business landline plans, which provide lower channel rental costs for businesses that operate more channels. The move comes in recognition of business and enterprise customers' need for simple, transparent and predictable fixed costs in their business.
The UAE already boasts the biggest fibreoptic network in the region and the new plans are part of a series of changes to refresh Etisalat's business offerings as the corporation continues the process of transitioning all its business users to IP-based lines capable of supporting more channels and video calling.
Under the new plan a standard telephone line will now be offered at a flat monthly fee of AED 95 per line. Basic rate interface (BRI) ISDN lines, business phone lines capable of supporting two external calls at any one time, will be charged at AED 90 per channel per month. Primary rate interface (PRI) lines, which can support up to 30 channels for simultaneous external calls, will be charged on a sliding scale with prices reducing depending on how many channels the business uses. These will be charged from AED 80 per channel per month for 30 channels, AED 85 per channel per month for 20 channels and AED 88 per channel per month for 10 channels.
John Lincoln, senior vice-president, business marketing, Etisalat said “Under this new forward-looking pricing structure, all businesses will benefit from free local and national calls and will stand to gain from the investments Etisalat is making in our nation's telecoms infrastructure. ”
The new rates for business customers will come into effect from 1 October 2013.
