With killer prize of Dh5,000 up for grabs, registration for Squid Game-themed competition is open until January 25 – but do you have what it takes?

Dubai, UAE – 17 January 2025: Inspired by hit Netflix series Squid Game, Al Ghurair Centre is bringing the thrill of competition through its doors next month with an exciting, immersive competition that promises to get contestants’ hearts pounding. The mall’s grand atrium will transform into the ultimate battlefield on February 1 from 6pm to 8pm as participants face-off in various challenges for a chance to win a cash prize of up to Dh5,000.

Al Ghurair’s ‘The Game’ has been designed to provide participants a rare experience whereby they can enjoy the show’s iconic challenges in a safe and family-friendly environment. For example, the famous ‘Red Light, Green Light’ challenge will see participants tasked with standing statue-still when the music stops. And just like in the show, the tension and pressure build with every beat, making it ever-harder to reach the end.

Participants will also engage in a variety of other Squid Game-inspired challenges, including a hunting game where they will need to locate certain stores and take a picture. The first participants back progress to the second round.

Online registration closes on January 25, however, participants who are interested in taking part after the deadline can visit the activation site 30 minutes before the game starts to register and collect their numbered T-shirt All participants are required to be on-ground at 5:30pm.
