Dubai, UAE, November 6, 2016:   Green Hope , a youth organisation founded in Dubai , by 16 year old Kehkashan Basu has now taken its message of 'Youth for Sustainability' to an international platform by conducting a Climate Change Workshop for hundreds of students in Canada. On 3rd November , 480 students gathered at the Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School near Toronto, Canada for an engaging workshop on the sustainable development goals , the role of youth in achieving the same and the urgent need to mitigate climate change.

In her message to the youth Kehkashan said 'Why do we keep ignoring climate change as a myth ? It is the harshest reality of our times , yet we continue to underestimate or even triviliase its importance . It is the biggest challenge of our times and is the greatest threat that future generations face. This is the reason we have gathered here today, to chart the course of our destiny by resolving to take concerted actions and measures to mitigate climate change'

During the course of this interactive workshop , the participants committed to individual pledges to take actions on mitigating climate change and promote sustainable consumption. This is the first of a series of international workshops which Green Hope has planned , to engage young people across the globe.
